I am a research associate with the International Centre for Guidance Studies (iCeGS) at the University of Derby.

My area of interest is the conceptual development of social pedagogy as a postmodern person-centred field of practice for marginalised youth.  I would describe myself as a critical theorist broadly interested in the third generation output of the Frankfurt School.  I have worked in education for over 12 years and, indeed, currently work as a special needs education manager.

I have developed this website to disseminate my doctoral research and a number of related articles, listed below.  If you have any comments / suggestions, please do
 get in touch.
